Pool
9-ball pool online
- Races to 3–9 racks
- WPA rules (2025)
- 9 ft table, or the 7 ft bar table
Nine numbered balls racked in a diamond, the 9 in the middle. The cue ball must always hit the lowest ball on the table first; any ball pocketed on a legal shot keeps you at the table. Pocket the 9 on a legal shot — even on the break, or in a combination — and you win the rack. Matches are races: first to win N racks.
It plays straight away in your browser, with nothing to download. To play without a connection too, download and install it as an app, on phone, tablet and computer: free, and without going through an app store.

Fouls
After a foul the opponent has ball in hand anywhere on the table.
- Wrong ball first
- The cue ball touches another ball before the lowest one, or no ball at all.
- No cushion
- After the contact no ball is pocketed and none reaches a cushion.
- Scratch
- The cue ball goes into a pocket or off the table.
- Ball off the table
- An object ball jumps off the table: it stays off, except the 9.
- Three fouls in a row
- Three fouls in a row without a legal shot between them lose the rack (a warning comes after the second).
The break and the push-out
- Breaks alternate. The cue ball is placed behind the head string and must hit the 1 first; the break must pocket a ball or drive at least four balls to a cushion, or it is a foul.
- Three-ball rule: balls pocketed plus balls that cross the head string must be at least three. If not, the opponent chooses to play the table or hand it back to the breaker.
- After a break with no foul, the next shot may be declared a push-out: the cue ball need not hit any ball or cushion. The opponent then chooses who plays.
- A 9 pocketed on a foul, a push-out or a short break goes back on the foot spot. Other balls pocketed on a foul stay down.
The official rules
The rules above are the ones Biliardo Plus applies in a match, in short, and they are in the game too, in the Rules window. The full text is the federation’s (in Italian for FIBiS):
